New Landfill Hours

Please be advised that effective Tuesday, November 14th, the hours at the City Landfill will be changing to 9:30 am - 5:15 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Historic Post Office Window Restoration Project

The Melfort Preservation and Rehabilitation Committee is continuing conservation and restoration of the Melfort Historic Post Office with the removal and repair or replacement of all windows on the main floor of the building.  Have your name engraved on a heritage postal box...a tax deductible legacy gift for family and friends.

 
NORTHERN LIGHTS PALACE ARENA


Northern Lights Palace Arena

The Northern Lights Palace is located at 110 MacLeod Avenue West. The arena has ice from August to May and is home to lacrosse from May to the end of June. It is available year round for concerts, cabarets, trade shows, craft shows, etc. The Northern Lights Palace Arena is home to the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

  • Concessions - one main concession located in the lobby as well as two satellite concessions on the concourse of the arena.
  • Seating - 1,807 molded seats; 3,400 in concert mode (floor and fixed).
  • Dressing Rooms - Melfort Mustangs Junior Hockey Club (private), 7 additional dressing rooms.
  • Elevator from the Main Lobby to the lower level.
  • Ice Size - 85' X 200' (1,580 square meters).
  • Parking - 185 stalls, 1 bus parking stall located outside the north entrance.
  • Sound - complete surround sound producing less than 3% reverberation. Acoustically treated ceiling tiles and end walls.
