Urgent Appeal East Africa Drought - Melfort Rotary

Melfort Rotary Club has set up a SHELTERBOX at Memorial Garden on Main Street.  We will spend all day on site Wednesday, August 24, overnight until Thursday, August 25, to accept your donations.  We will provide a BBQ LUNCH on Thursday, August 25 at Noon for $5.00.

The City of Melfort is seeking proposals from interested parties for the development and ownership of a multi-unit apartment complex.

Mon, Aug 29:  Organizations will be in attendance at the Kerry Vickar Centre from 6-9 pm to promote their group and take registrations for the 2011-2012 season.

National Household Survey

 



Statistics Canada has begun collecting the National Household Survey (NHS) in addition to the 2011 Census. The NHS is the voluntary replacement for the former mandatory long-form census, mailed to one in three households in Melfort.

Swartout Hall

Seating Capacity:

Swartout Hall                    Banquet-style:  500 seats, 63 round tables
                                            Theatre-style:   900 seats

Swartout Hall A or B        Banquet-style:  200 seats, 25 round tables
                                            Theatre-style:   450 seats


Features:

  • The area of Swartout Hall totals 9,439 square feet, representing 29.2% of the entire facility.
  • Swartout Hall has a dividing wall to separate the space into two rooms.  Each half has a full-size screen and access to sound and video outputs.  A built-in sound system makes it easy for participants and spectators to clearly hear presentations.  A portable stage is available for use.
  • The Hall has two pull-out bleachers that can seat a total of 400 people.
  • Swartout Hall can accommodate a number of sporting events, including basketball (full-zie court and two cross-courts), provincial soccer (recessed nets) and is high enough to host provincial level badminton and volleyball.
