The Melfort Preservation and Rehabilitation Committee is continuing conservation and restoration of the Melfort Historic Post Office with the removal and repair or replacement of all windows on the main floor of the building. Have your name engraved on a heritage postal box...a tax deductible legacy gift for family and friends.
The Compost Site will be closing for the season on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Location: West end of Central Street
Hours of Operation: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Tuesday to Saturday
The compost site will accept garden waste, leaves, grass clippings and branches under 8" in diameter. The site will not accept elm trees or elm branches, tree stumps or tree roots. All bags, boxes and containers must be removed. This facility is free to the public.
Commercial loads of trees will not be accepted at the Compost Site. Commercial loads of trees will be accepted at the City of Melfort Landfill. Regular rates will apply.
Compost for Sale:
1st Pail - $10.00, includes purchase of compost pail
Refill - $5.00 with return of compost pail
Bulk Rate - $40 for a 1/2-yard
Mulch/Chips:
FREE up to a 1/2-ton truck load
$50 bulk rate for larger tandem loads
