Criminal Record Check Service Fee
Effective January 1, 2014, there will be a $25.00 service fee for criminal record checks. 
Landfill Fee Increase January 1, 2014
The minimum charge at the Landfill for residents of Melfort will increase from $20.00/1000 kg (2200 lbs) to $25.00 per 1000 kg (2200lbs) over 100 kg of waste. Non-resident fees will increase from $55.00/1000 kg (2220 lbs) to $60.00/1000kgs (2200) lbs over 100kg of waste.
Notice of Utility Rate Increase
Effective January 1, 2014, the basic water and sewer services fees will increase from $31.25 to $32.25 per month to reflect an increase in utility capital requirements. The rate per 1,000 imperial gallons will increase from $9.70 to $9.80 per month.
Discontinuation of Discounts on Property Tax

Commencing 2014, the City of Melfort will no longer offer discounts for prepayment of property taxes.

City of Melfort Experiencing Residential Construction Boom. 2013 year to date residential permit values are twice last year's and the highest ever for the first half of the year.
