Landfill Fee Increase January 1, 2014

The minimum charge at the Landfill for residents of Melfort will increase from $20.00/1000 kg (2200 lbs) to $25.00 per 1000 kg (2200lbs) over 100 kg of waste. Non-resident fees will increase from $55.00/1000 kg (2220 lbs) to $60.00/1000kgs (2200) lbs over 100kg of waste. The base rate of $6.00 for the first 100kgs of waste for residents and $10.00 for the first 100kgs of waste for non-residents will remain unchanged.  The new rates are effective January 1, 2014.
