Water Security Agency Issues Approval to Use River Water
The Saskatchewan Water Security Agency has provided permission for SaskWater to reopen the water treatment plant intake at the Saskatchewan River. The Potable Water Station at City Hall will continue to operate from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm daily, as it will take some time for the PFRA reservoir water to flush out of the distribution system. The City of Melfort plans to undertake a thorough flushing program starting next week, which will also affect water quality.
