The City of Melfort is taking up the #PoetryCity challenge! Parliamentary Poet Laureate George Elliott Clarke has challenged Mayors across Canada to bring poetry into politics, and we are pleased to be participating. On Monday, August 10, 2017, at 5:00 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers, Sherrie Glister will read poetry at our City Council meeting in celebration of World Poetry Day and National Poetry Month. To celebrate National Poetry Month, local poet Sherrie Glister will be performing a reading from her book "Welcoming the Weaver" at the Council meeting on Mon, April 10 at 5:00 pm.
