Our museum has a great summer program that includes activities for families, the Time Warp program for kids in addition to our popular Coffee and Conversation series. We provide hands-on learning about our history and our heritage. In June of every year, we book School Tours and create hands-on learning experiences for the classes. We have Theme Boxes that school teachers may borrow to augment their curriculum in the areas of Pioneer Life, Agricultural History, and Aboriginal and Multi-Cultural Heritage. |

NEWS & EVENTS
The Melfort Preservation and Rehabilitation Committee is continuing conservation and restoration of the Melfort Historic Post Office with the removal and repair or replacement of all windows on the main floor of the building. Have your name engraved on a heritage postal box...a tax deductible legacy gift for family and friends.
Melfort & District Museum hosts many events throughout the year: we participate in Back-to-the-Fifties, Canada Day, Fair Parade and Fair Days, and Celebration of Christmas. We contribute to Communities in Bloom and we host a Family Picnic, Senior's Day, Volunteer Appreciation, Old-time dances, Heritage Fashion Show & Tea and Horseshoes League. We do demonstrations in the saw mill, grist mill and blacksmith shop, and we bake bread in our outdoor brick oven.
