Notice to All Residents
The Department of Works & Utilities wishes to inform all residents that Spring Clean Up will be held May 12 - 22, 2017.
Please note sanitary landfill fees will be waived for all Melfort residents. No household furniture, appliances or construction material will be picked up and landfill fees for this type of refuse WILL NOT BE WAIVED.
Our contractor will pick up all garbage, such as tree limbs, leaves, grass and garden refuse at the front street beginning Tuesday, May 16 and ending May 19.  Spring Clean-up items must be out for pick up on your regular garbage day. All tree limbs must be under 4’ in length, branches must be tied in bundles and leaves and grass must be in a waste container or bagged in a leaf & garden (see-through) clear bag.
Please Note: All leaves and grass must be bagged in clear bags. Loose refuse will NOT be collected. Limbs must be cut into proper lengths and bundled or they will NOT be picked up.
 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Closed on Sunday
The landfill is CLOSED Sunday May 21, but will be open on Victoria Day, Monday, May 22, 2017

Starting Tuesday, May 2, 2017, the Compost Site is open for garden waste, leaves and grass clipping disposal:  528 Central Street West - Tuesday to Saturday 10 am - 6 pm
