The T Bar lift is ready to whisk you to the top from where you will be able to ski any of the many runs. A handle tow lift will allow you to spend as much time as you wish skiing one of the more challenging slopes, without returning to the lift at the bottom. If you are a new skier the experienced, qualified instructors are available to start you out on the new training slope.

When you have sampled all the runs point your skis in the direction of the beautiful log chalet where they are ready to serve you with lots of hot food and drink to send you back to the slopes refreshed, and ready for more skiing in the clean crisp northern air. After skiing visit the "Wapiti Lounge" where a blazing log fire burns in the natural stone fireplace.

Enjoy Wapiti in the Summer

Be sure and visit Wapiti Valley during the summer months and enjoy the waters of Codette Lake where you may latch on to some trophy size fish, or just enjoy the forested wildrness of the north shore or the rolling farmlands of the south shore. Codette Lake is a reservoir on the Saskatchewan River. It was formed by closure of the Francois-Finlay Dam at Nipawin in 1985. It is about 45 kilometres in length and 3330 hectares (8200 acres) in area. The reservoir has a mean depth of 15 metres
(49 feet) and a maximum depth of 38 metres (125 feet). Fourteen species of fish have been found to inhabit the lake, including walleye, suager, northern pike, perch, and goldeye. As well, a ten hectare walleye rearing pond was built adjacent to the George Willis Bridge in 1985. The pond is stocked with 500,000 walleye fry each spring. The productive, predator-free environment of the pond increases survival and growth over each year and the fingerlings, by then two to three inches in length, are stocked into Codette Lake. Since 1986, an average of 165,000 walleye fingerlings have been stocked into the lake from the rearing pond each year.

Wapiti offers a boatdock, picnic area, playground and camp kitchen right on the water's edge. You may enjoy camping out in the Fort a la Corne Forest just across the lake from the lodge site, where a non-modern campground is available. For those who enjoy more modern comforts the family chalet is available for bookings year round.

Hikers will enjoy using the cross country ski trails found in the area and these are also excellent trails for those who enjoy birdwatching.
