Recreation and cultural development has kept pace with the rest of the city. Organized sports and cultural programs range from hockey, soccer, fastball, tennis, curling, and baseball to calligraphy, arts and crafts groups.

Recreation Facilities

Northern Lights Palace - Arena and Leisure Pool complex opened in November 1991. The facility is located in downtown Melfort. Civic owned and operated facility.
North East Leisure Centre - Civic owned and operated multipurpose facility.
Spruce Haven Ball Park - Civic owned and operated facility.
Melfort and District Regional Park - Golf Course and picnic area.
Melfort and District Museum - Open May through August.
Wapiti Regional Park - Four Season getaway.
Melfort South Campground - Civic owned facility operated on a yearly lease agreement.
