Dale Frier Memorial Rink - Outdoor Rink/Skate Park

The Dale Frier Memorial Rink was dedicated in the fall of 2007 to Dale Frier, a well known community-minded leader that volunteered selflessly to making Melfort a better place to live. This outdoor ice surface is located on Brunswick Street just east of MUCC. This facility has an outdoor ice surface in the winter months and includes boards and a warm up shack to put on and remove skates as well as warm your fingers and toes. There are lights on timers that illuminate the surface in the evening for those after supper shinny games.

Once the ice is gone and the warmer weather arrives, you will find the boarders and skaters converging on the area to try their skills on the quarter pipes, ramps and grind rails. The City of Melfort places skateboard ramps on the asphalt surface during the summer months for the kids to enjoy. There is no supervision at this facility; therefore, there are rules posted that must be adhered to.

For further information regarding the above facility, please contact the City of Melfort at 752-5911.
